It's a nose screw or corkscrew, so called because of its shape in the inner part of the stud, which is inserted into the piercing by slightly twisting it. Once in place, it seems like it's screwed on the nose. It sounds complicated, but it's simple and works perfectly. 

This nose screw is available in two gold types: 14-karat white gold and regular yellow gold. Apart from the color, they are identical: the bar has a length of 1/4" (6 mm) and a gauge of 20g (0.8 mm), and the heart is 1/8" (3 mm). This is held by four prongs that ensure that it will stay in place and won't fall out.
