Labrets can be used in many different parts of the body. They are mostly used in lip and ear piercings because the flat plate fits where there is often no room for an end ball. 

This labret is made of titanium. Titanium is often a dark and dull material, but the models here have been colored with a PVD coating. That means that the properties of titanium are kept while an extra color is added. A PVD color layer is more durable than a regular coating.

All this means that you can use this labret in new piercings, and you can also use it if you suffer from nickel allergy. Titanium does not contain any nickel traces. 

Besides, this labret is internally threaded, which is only a plus because the possibility of scraping the tissue around your piercing is reduced.
