This D-shaped ring is a very versatile piece because it can be worn in many different piercings. A D-shaped ring is halfway between a straight barbell and a regular hoop. However, this doesn't mean that it can be used wherever a straight barbell is used. For example, it can't be worn in tongue piercings. In turn, it suits nipple and septum piercings perfectly.
