This fake spiral taper looks like a regular taper, but it has a small surgical steel bar in the middle, which doesn't release nickel since the spiral is made of hypoallergenic acrylic.
The bar is 1/4" (6 mm) long and has a gauge of 16g (1.2 mm), so you can use it in your ear piercing, without stretching it at all. You can finally get this popular piece without an ear gauge.
