In this case, there's a top ball where the dangle normally hangs, and the dangle hangs from where usually the top ball sits. It may sound weird at first, but it makes perfect sense when you look at the picture above.

The barbell is like any other, curved, and approximately 3/8" (10 mm) long. The dangle starts at the top and hangs from the top jeweled ball. It's only the two lower stones that hang freely, even though you get the feeling all three stones can move.
