All About Lip Piercings
The angelbite piercing is very similar to the snakebite. The only difference is:
An angelbite piercing is also composed of two piercings on each side of the upper lip. These two piercings must be horizontally aligned and completely symmetrical, as the slightest difference can make them look very lopsided.
Most people use labrets for piercings in the upper lip. PTFE and bioplastic are great materials for this region as they are gentle on teeth and gums.
If you suffer from a nickel allergy, we recommend using either of those or titanium, as they don’t release nickel.
An angelbite piercing is very similar to other piercings, such as the Madonna and Medusa.
The piercer puts in a piece of jewelry that is longer than regular jewelry, to give the lip a little room if it swells up. You can use an ice cube to bring down the initial swelling.
First of all, give it some rest. Don't play with the jewelry!
Clean it in the morning and evening with an isotonic saline solution.
Try to avoid cigarettes, alcohol, and foreign body fluids during the healing period. Otherwise, rinse your mouth with plain water after smoking, eating, and kissing.
It's also a good idea to buy a new toothbrush, as an old one will be home to an awful lot of bacteria.
