Types of Piercing Jewelry
If you know what a
is, you’ve most likely considered stretching your earlobes but don’t feel like committing to it - at least not yet!make permanent changes to your body, so you need to be 100% sure about it. In the meantime, fake plugs can be the solution!
A fake plug looks a lot like a regular plug when it's in your ear.
It consists of a small rod, often 6 mm, with a small plate at each end and sometimes O-rings. In that case, O-rings only make the jewelry look more realistic, as a fake plug won’t slide off your ear like a regular plug could.
To insert a fake plug into your earlobe, you first need to have a regular hole pierced as the small rod goes through the ear. Then you can screw the back end onto the rod to have a plate with an o-ring on each side. This way, you can picture how a genuine plug would look on you.
