The ring has a depth of 3/16" (5 mm), and a barbell that goes through it. It has the standard measures of a nipple ring so it can adapt to most piercings.
The shield has a total of 6 spikes, two of which are the barbell's screw-on ends. Both spikes can be unscrewed, while the other four are fixed and cannot be taken off.
