This piercing would have been perfect with a 6mm rod diameter. However, by tightening it a bit with a pair of pliers, it gets the job done. Very elegant. And the internal threading with a screw ball is much more secure than classic fasteners. I completely approve it.

Just like I expected. The internal entry makes it easier to put the ball on, and I worry less about it possibly falling off. I think it grips better than an external thread. I'm satisfied. The only thing I would really appreciate is if there were an option to choose something other than a ball, like a spike at the end.
